Responsibilities:

  • Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with LCC Standard of Service.
  • Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests ensuring that all needs and anticipated and met.  Must exceed guest expectations for customer service.
  • Setup and maintain food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with LCC Standards of Service.
  • Maintain and control inventory for food and beverage stations.
  • Maintain all event areas and front of house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner.
  • Participate in both setup and clean up of food and beverage service items.
  • Must be able to work responsibly with limited supervision at times.

Qualifications:

  • An understanding of food and beverage service operations and fine dining standards of service.
  • Effective communication skills suited for a formal, professional environment.
  • Ability to function as a team player and to help fellow staff members when necessary.
  • A strong commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Must hold or obtain upon hiring a Washington State Food Workers Card and a MAST Permit Class 12/13.
  • Ability to work late night and weekend shifts.
  • Minimum of 1 year of food service experience.
  • Must be able to carry a serving tray and lift 35 lbs.

Job Title:            Dishwasher

Potential dishwashers need to be enthusiastic, possess a positive attitude, have a strong work ethic and be detail oriented.

Team member should have strong knowledge of sanitation and cleanliness practices.

Experience:

  • Worked as a dishwasher in a commercial kitchen setting for at least one year
  • Must have the ability to work under general direction and a desire to learn
  • Prefer high volume kitchen
  • Must have current food handler’s permit
  • Shifts are flexible based on events and building schedule
  • Must be able to be on feet during duration of shift
  • Must be able to move or lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to withstand loud noises and temperature changes in the environment
  • Must have a flexible schedule
  • Must be able to take direction and work positively in a team environment

Title:                     Banquet Manager

Reports To:          Food & Beverage Director

Department:        Food & Beverage

Position Summary:

The Banquet Manager oversees all non-kitchen aspects of Food & Beverage, Bar, and Concessions operations at the Lynnwood Convention Center including management of Banquet Servers, Bartenders and Captains.  This includes the development and implementation of training programs, service standards, and operational guidelines.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage banquet staff during the execution of events to ensure an outstanding guest experience and that service is consistent with the Lynnwood Convention Center Standards of Service. 
  • Select, hire, train, supervise, and discipline all new and existing Food & Beverage staff so that all tasks are performed in a consistent manner and all staff maintain the Lynnwood Convention Center Standards of Service.
  • Assigns schedules and tasks for Food & Beverage staff in accordance with the event calendar to ensure proper staffing ratios are met and to ensure excellent guest service.
  • Works with the Food & Beverage team to develop new menu selections and concepts including food, beverage, and concessions options.  Develop programs and standards to improve the overall standard of Food & Beverage service.
  • Manage all Bar and Concessions operations including purchase and inventory control of all alcohol, alcohol safety training, and cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure that the Lynnwood Convention Center meets all corporate, local, and state policies and regulations related to food and alcohol safety.
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement Lynnwood Convention Center Standards of Service, Banquet Event Orders, and other policies and procedures.  Attend daily and weekly meetings related to event execution.
  • Must be able to work and lead a team independently without active supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple services, projects, and tasks.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the Food & Beverage lines staff as needed.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years banquet/catering operations management experience is required.  Experience in the convention industry is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervising part-time staff is required.
  • Previous experience managing ordering, inventory control, labor cost, and cash handling is required.
  • Previous experience with event management software and POS software is required.  Experience using EMS and Meeting Matrix is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • A thorough understanding of banquet industry standards and fine dining food and beverage service.  Excellent knowledge of Pacific Northwest beer, wine, and spirits is preferred.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills suited to a formal, professional environment.
  • Must be able to work extended, irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must hold or obtain upon hiring a Washington State Food Workers Card and a MAST Permit Class 12/13.
  • Must be able to pass a credit check and criminal background check.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds unaided.
