Job Title:               Customer & Security Liaison

Department:         Operations

Reports To:           Front Desk Manager

FLSA Status:         Part-Time Hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to the following)

 Serve as the first point of contact for facility guests; function as a customer liaison.

Conducts routine inspections of the interior of the building to assure quality of service.

Greets and assists guest with load-in and load-out for events.

Monitor general activity and relay any client or guest requests to the appropriate event manager.

Provides daily incident reports.

Conducts preliminary investigations relevant to personnel complaints.

Monitors deliveries and notifies personal as needed.

Assist with opening and closing procedures of the building.

Assist Event Receptionist with administrative tasks as needed.

Serves as informational source to the public for company activities and events.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/ or Experience: Associates degree from an accredited two-year college or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ security, customer service or hospitality experience, preferably in a similar environment.

Skills and Abilities                                 

Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered during employment.

Ability to communicate with, and take direction from immediate supervisor and facility management.

Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Ability to handle/resolve tense situations and control “unruly” guests.

Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills.

Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.

Must possess professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.

Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work flexible hours based on events, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

CPR/First Aid Certified

Computer Skills                                        

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong working knowledge of computers and industry standard software systems, including standard Microsoft Windows operating based platforms such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Publisher.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to work indoors and outdoors as required by the function.  Must have the physical ability to maneuver around facility(ies), at times, walking and/or standing up to 2-3 hours daily, as well as the ability to lift in excess of 25 pounds.
