Lynnwood Public Facilities District

The Lynnwood PFD was established under the authority of the Laws of the State of Washington, Chapter 165, Laws of 1999, pursuant to Ordinance 2266 of the City Council of the City of Lynnwood, passed August 24, 1999. Under RCW 35.57, the City has authority to form a public facilities district for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, maintaining and financing a regional center, which may be a convention center.


Mission Statement

The Lynnwood Public Facilities District shall serve as an economic catalyst for the community through the development of public facilities. The Public Facilities District shall be a cornerstone for the City of Lynnwood's revitalization through its development efforts and the professional operation of its facilities. The Public Facilities District shall provide leadership and vision in all of its activities for the citizens of Lynnwood and South Snohomish County, so as to provide a valuable addition to the economic vitality of the region and a sense of pride for the community.

PFD Meetings

Meetings of the Lynnwood PFD are held the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm and the third Tuesday of every month at 5:00 pm. If the scheduled meeting falls on a holiday week, it may be rescheduled. Please check the below meeting calendar for details. If a meeting is cancelled, a cancellation notice will be posted at the District office 24 hours in advance.

Task Force Report

The City of Lynnwood and the Lynnwood Public Facilities District (PFD) jointly selected a Task Force to explore development ideas for the property owned by the PFD. The Task Force was comprised of local community members with knowledge and interest in the future growth and development of the PFD and Lynnwood City Center.

George Sherwin, Chair

George Sherwin, Chair

Mr. Sherwin is a former Senior Vice President of Land Development for Quadrant Homes. He is past president of the Washington State Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and has been actively involved in local, regional and state planning and development issues.

Mr. Sherwin's term expires in October 2019.
Wally Webster II, Vice-Chair

Wally Webster II, Vice-Chair

Wally Webster II is a retired Senior Vice President of Bank of America, where he worked for over 30 years. During his tenure at Bank of America he Led enterprise-wide project teams of Six Sigma practitioners to improve customer satisfaction and the quality of the Bank’s sales, service, and fulfillment functions. Mr. Webster was a licensed member of the National Association of Securities Dealers and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.

Mr. Webster’s term expires in October 2021.
Taylor Nordby, Secretary

Taylor Nordby, Secretary

Taylor Nordby is Vice President of MII Properties, a firm managing holdings in Washington, California and Nevada. She previously worked in Project Management for Nordstrom. Ms. Nordby has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. She grew up in North Seattle and has a long history and passion for the area.

Ms. Nordby’s term expires in October 2022.
Lynn Melby, Board Member

Lynn Melby, Board Member

With over 40 years of association management experience, Mr. Melby currently spends his time speaking, teaching and consulting to various non-profit organizations, corporations and government entities. Mr. Melby attended University of North Dakota, earning a degree in Journalism. He added a master's degree from the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University.

Mr. Melby's term expires in October 2019
Rosario Reyes, Board Member

Rosario Reyes, Board Member

Rosario Reyes is the Founder and Executive Director of the Latino Educational Training Institute that develops programs to facilitate the success of Spanish-speaking and bilingual persons in the US.  She has been a Lynnwood resident for 32 years and has dedicated her energy to successfully establishing and expanding her business in the Lynnwood area while focusing on community development. 

Mrs. Reyes’ term expires in October 2020.

Ms. Springer is the City of Lynnwood's Finance Director.
