COVID-19 Update
Home > ATTEND > A Safe Place to Meet - Attendee Guidelines

The health and safety of our guests, attendees and employees are our primary focus. The Lynnwood Convention Center and ASM Global, our management company, have taken great measures to ensure the well-being of all those who visit our venue.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made updates to process and procedures based on guidance from health authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local government agencies. These measures are outlined in detail through our Safe Re-Opening Plan and are designed to promote:

  • Sanitation
  • Physical distancing
  • Reduced contact
Masks
Per Washington State Health Order, Guests and Employees are required to wear masks during their time in the Convention Center.

Physical Distancing
All room sets, as well as the lay out of event registration and catering services, are created per physical distancing measures. We remind guests to stay 6 feet away from other guests and employees.

Hand Washing
For the safety all others, we remind you that frequent hand washing for 20 seconds is key in reducing the spread of germs. Please assist us in practicing safe health practices.

Feeling Ill / Having COVID-19 Symptoms
If you are sick, have a fever or displaying symptoms of a cough, body aches, shortness of breath, or fatigue we ask that you not enter the building and visit us once you are feeling better.

Hand Sanitizer Stations

Hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout the venue including at guest entrances, in each event space, as well as in pre-function space. Be reminded that the use of hand sanitizer is not a substitute for hand washing.

Increased Sanitation
While the safety and health of our guests and employees have always been paramount, we have increased cleaning protocols and reduced touch points where possible. Heighten measures includes hourly disinfection of high touch points such as door knobs, hand rails and event furniture, changes to our menus and food service and attendee flow.

The Lynnwood Convention Center has also received training and in the process of obtaining GBAC Star accreditation through the Global Biorisk Advisory CouncilĀ® (GBAC), a division of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA). This accreditation is for responding to, and recovering from, biological threats, biohazard situations and real-time crises. To learn more about the GBAC Star facility accreditation, click here.

Cashless Bars & Concessions

To further reduce touch points, the Lynnwood Convention Center is now only accepting credit and debit cards at bars and at our concessions stands.

Air Quality Improvements
Improvements to our HVAC system include:
  • Increasing building outside air intake/air exchange rates during occupied event hours
  • Ongoing process of replacing HVAC air filters with higher efficiency MERV-13 filters.
  • Full exhaust of hanging interior air at the start and end of each day.

Our plans are under continuous review and are subject to change as we monitor conditions and receive guidance from health and government authorities.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. We ask event organizers and attendees to review the CDC recommendations regarding prevention, especially for those in a high risk category.
